Paying by Mail
If you decide to pay your bill by mail, you can simply send a check or money order to the following address:

Please be sure to include your account number on your payment so that it can be properly credited to your account. payments typically take 5-7 business days to process.
Paying Online or by Phone
You can also pay your bill online or by phone. To do so, simply log in to your account at www.CenterPointEnergy.com/login or call 1-800-WheresMyGas (1-800-943-7427) and follow the prompts. Payments made using a credit card, debit card, or electronic check will post to your account immediately. Please note that there is a $3.95 convenience fee charged for payments made using a credit card or debit card. There is no fee for payments made using an electronic check.
When paying online or by phone, you will need the following information:
Your 13-digit CenterPoint Energy account number (located on your monthly statement)
The amount of your payment
Your credit or debit card information (including expiration date and 3-digit security code) or bank routing and account numbers for electronic checks
You will also need to create a username and password if you haven’t already done so
Please note that service will be disconnected if payment is not received within 10 days of the due date printed on your monthly statement. A reconnection fee may apply if service is disconnected due to nonpayment. Disconnection and reconnection of service may be avoided by signing up for budget billing which averages your monthly bill over a 12-month period.
